You're cordially invited to the launch of Everybody Wurqs! We are a monthly event series dedicated to personal growth through the lens of diversity and inclusion. We believe the best managers, leaders, colleagues and human beings are those that understand the perspectives of the people around them, and therefore these events are designed to:
- Inspire you with new perspectives of the world through personal stories
- Provide you with tools and experiences to support your own growth and learning
- Create an environment to make it easy for you to connect with wonderful new people
For our first ever event we have a very special speaker for you. As recently featured on BBC One's The Big Life Fix, Emma Lawton is the Head of Creative at fintech startup SPIXII, and just 3 years ago, at the age of 29, was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Emma will be talking to us about how her life has changed since the diagnosis, in both how she has been forced to adapt to her condition, but also the new perspective on life and career that it has afforded her.
These events do have interactive segments, but they can be just as much enjoyed as a passive viewer, as well as an active participant. So whether you like to get involved, or take a seat on the sidelines, we hope we have something for everyone. Refreshments will be available too!
This event would not be possible, or free, without the help of our generous partners.
